iPad usability: First findings from user testing

The flurry of speculation about the suitability of the iPad for use in healthcare has died down since the iPad’s launch. The preliminary report on the usability of iPad apps by the highly respected Jakob Nielsen gives them a thumbs down. “iPad apps are inconsistent and have low feature discoverability, with frequent user errors due to accidental gestures.
