A doctor's review of hospital rounds with an iPad

Categories: Latest News.

Curious about the iPad’s ‘chops’ on the hospital floor?  Check this article from the field in MedCity News by Dr. Henry Feldman, a hospitalist (North America terminology for physicians specializing in hospital medicine) using it on rounds for a week. Since the hospital’s apps were all web-based, it was easy for him to get on.  The keyboarding presented little problem, battery life was outstanding, sanitation was done by wipes, it roamed well.  A few things were tricky (see end) like printing and discharge. The writer’s technically savvy (MySQL manuals loaded on the iPad, he adjusts server settings!) but all in all, rather promising.  A doctor’s review of rounds.
