Intel Health Guide PC version gains FDA clearance

Finally, some news out of Care Innovations, the Intel-GE joint venture. Intel has developed a PC version of Health Guide called the Intel Health Guide Express that, according to the release, runs on consumer off the shelf personal computers. The system combines an ‘in-home patient device’ (hub?) that collects vital signs from wired and wireless devices, conducts interactive patient health sessions, has video conferencing capabilities and multimedia educational content. In market date is expected to be 2nd quarter this year. This will integrate with the Intel Health Care Management Suite, and the Intel Health Guide PHS6000 will still be available. Release
