Google glasses: potential mHealth breakthrough?

The ‘secretive’ Google glasses, details of which have been leaked to anyone who will listen, may well revolutionize mHealth data and imaging feeds to clinicians and surgeons, enabling remote consults into remote surgery, if we are to go with iMedicalApps’ interpretation. Or if we go with the New York Times, Google will target the consumer market. What joy…legions of GG wearers looking like psychiatric patients as they go about bumping into things on city streets and flailing their arms in some virtual reality, while Google collects even more data from the glasses’ cameras and mics. Don’t forget the adverts! Ed. Donna also wonders if this is converging with the DOD’s various projects for soldiers (and robots) to get advanced information to them in the field (as in neuromorphic electronics).
