One of the ‘classics’
The LifeCall commercials were pioneers of a sort, both in direct response and in using direct-to-video production (which was cheap and a bit nasty, but broadcast quality). Back in the day when cable was new and independent (non-network) stations had plenty of low cost ‘off hour’ time, these commercials ran…and ran….and ran.
‘I’ve fallen and I can’t get up’ is one of the more parodied (and remixed) commercials on YouTube. And at least in North America, PERS hasn’t been able to get away from this catchphrase! (FYI, I disagree with the article–LifeCall and the parent Medical Alarm still exist.)
