I really cannot explain why I have overlooked this organisation until now. Maybe because it is headquartered in Belfast and has a similar name to the EU Centre for Connected Health – which it is not.
What it is is yet another membership organisation with the grand purpose of “bring[ing] together commercial, academic, and healthcare stakeholders to deliver leadership for the development of ‘Connected Health’ markets and practice across Europe…[the aim is] transformation of healthcare delivery and the development of the connected health economy.”
Well, it seems that last week they made a great start with a ‘Leadership Summit’ in Belfast which attracted some big names in the field. See programme, manifesto and presentations here. Membership list here and details here (pdf).
