CSIP January Telecare LIN eNewsletter published

Categories: Latest News.

Simon Brownsell, with additional links and examples prepared by Mike Clark, on the latest NHS Operating Framework for 2009/10. Together they draw out implications for telecare and telehealth. This is definitely worth reading for anyone who wants to sell telehealth systems to the NHS, but you may want to read it after reading the observations on central v local government in the fourth link in the Stimulus funding, telehealth and procurement item, because the underlying tensions are much the same between the Government and the PCTs.

The newsletter’s lead story is a brief item on the Whole System Demonstrator Action Network London event and confirmation that a fuller news item, with presentations from the event, will be available from the end of January 2009 at the WSDAN website.

There is also a link to more ‘themed reports’ from the CSCI performance information data, covering Extra Care, Carers, and Smart Homes/Demonstration Sites. [See here for Telecare Soapbox comment on ‘Smart Home’ terminology.]
