Boston Globe article on Connected Health Symposium

A preview of this week’s Connected Health Symposium from the Boston Globe.  It presents New England as a ‘hotbed’ of telehealth development and interviews Dr. Joseph Kvedar of the Center for Connected Health on how real-world technologies such as the cellphone, the internet and video games are now the jumping off point of managing personal health.  Contrary to the current political debate, which is about further Federalization of the system in the name of reform, Dr. Kvedar sees it quite differently:  “And the individual’s accountability and responsibility aren’t things you’ve been hearing in the health care debate. Politicians have a hard time dealing with that issue.’’  Article
