Flood at BT exchange puts thousands of telecare users at risk over Easter (UK)

Flooding resulting from an electrical fault at a BT exchange in London today has caused problems for telecare response call centres across the country because of the knock-on effect on phone and broadband networks. According to this BBC report, the problems may persist until Tuesday. This will leave many alarm users at risk and the centres overstretched dealing with intermittent or non-functioning systems during the holiday period.
