Ambulatory BP monitoring boost in UK

Good news for the suppliers of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring equipment and services – the UK’s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has endorsed the use of 24 hour monitoring of patients with suspected hypertension as a cost-saving better practice than basing a diagnosis on readings taken during visits to the doctor.

This is not only good news for the patients and suppliers, it should be a big step towards making the general public aware of the possibilities of telehealth home health monitoring.
