WellComm: a 'master app' for connecting wellness apps

San Diego-based WellComm launched yesterday a ‘dashboard’ or ‘hub’ app for smartphones and tablets that connects information from other wellness apps and also can send this information to personal health records. According to their release, the app is free and works with ‘all existing resources’ including EHRs and PHRs. It’s not entirely clear whether it’s compatible with Android, as iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch are repeatedly mentioned. It is targeted to the professional market: providers, researchers and caregivers. WellComm also provides a free ‘Prescriptive’ through their website to leverage their main app, which can be customized as a survey, publication or integrated app. It’s unfortunate that their ‘at work’ contains only examples, not a true demo or video.
