Skype tiptoes into mobile health?

On Tuesday the mHealth Summit (Washington, D.C., 8-10 November) announced their sponsor roster.  One wouldn’t be surprised at Verizon and Qualcomm as sponsors, but one eyebrow was raised seeing two big pharma companies–Abbott and Pfizer (the latter dipping a toe into eHealth via partnership with Acacia Living, TA 19 Apr).  The other went up at seeing Skype on the list.  It’s obviously for videoconferencing but the first we’ve heard of any interest they’ve had in the telemedicine area.  Hmmmm….But the release enlightens not at all.
