Scottish telecare/telehealth plan out for consultation

In connection with the publication of the assessment report on Scotland’s initiative to promote telecare, the Programme Board has published for consultation until Friday 12th November 2010, a future strategy document Telehealthcare to 2012: An Action Plan for Scotland. (PDF) People (presumably in Scotland only) are invited to send views to Moira Mackenzie Telecare Programme Manager.

[Although the Board’s definition of telehealthcare as “the convergence of telecare and telehealth” is very seductive, it’s as if they had decided to call all off-road vehicles (Jeeps; Nissan Xterras; Land Rovers; Hummers; Toyota Land Cruisers, etc.) by the term ‘Land Rover’. Are they really comfortable with that? Are our readers? Ed. Steve]
