Scotland: Extra £8m for telecare

An extra £8 million is to be spent on hi-tech devices that help older and vulnerable [whatever that means] people live in their own homes. The cash was announced by public health minister Shona Robison during a visit to Inverness, one of the areas that will benefit. The money – £4 million this year and the same amount next year – will be spent on telecare services for people leaving hospital. Midlothian Advertiser item.
