Danish company RTX launched its RTX 3370 product a month ago, as regular TelecareAware readers will remember. I had a closer look and first got the matter of the pedestrian name out of the way. “It’s extremely hard to find a name for a product that works in all major languages,” explained Bjarne Flou, RTX’s MD. “It is too easy to use something that turns out to be offensive to someone!” If that care and attention to detail is typical, it bodes well for its future. The selling point of the device, which can be programmed flexibly in different languages, is that it is a hub which can take data from any manufacturer’s input devices and transmit them via an ordinary phone line to any chosen data centre. RTX can provide full set-up support.
