As the telecare scene is heavily influenced by what happens in Whitehall, I thought that as a nostalgic Christmas treat (hmm!) readers of Telecare Aware might like to indulge in spending some time to play the 1980s Yes, Prime Minister computer game, complete with 1980s-state-of-the-art interactivity. After all, the lessons from Yes, Minister are still regarded as valid by civil servants and politicians – I did hear one Secretary of State for Health in the past few years comment that it was ‘real life’!
You can download the game and run it on a PC from the yes-minister.com site, which also has instructions for play. Please note that you will also need to download a Commodore Computer emulator before it will run. The Yes-Minister site has other information about the series, as does this Wikipedia article. Good luck!
