PC for older people introduced in UK

A new computer aimed at people aged over 60 who are unfamiliar with PCs and the internet has been unveiled in the UK. The simplified desktop – called SimplicITy – has just six buttons directing users to basic tasks such as e-mail and chat.     The software is ELDY software available, as is all open source software, is FREE and available from http://www.eldy.eu/ It is likely able to run on any relatively recent personal computer, say made in the last three or four years. Drivers for LINUX computers are now fairly well available. I loaded the latest version of Ubuntu (the most common linux distribution on a five year old computer and have never had a single problem – lots easier than my other new computer running Vista.
