Another type of 'aging in place'

NORC (Naturally Occuring Retirement Community) is a term used for a building or housing complex that has a substantial number of residents who have effectively ‘aged in place’, yet is not a ‘senior community’ in the traditional sense.  This New York Times blog entry by Fran Johns does not mention technology, yet NORCs are the perfect place for telecare and telehealth as part of supportive services.  (25 US states have programs–certainly not adequate.)

[This is a significant concept for telecare suppliers. Can you win the high street market one building at a time? Steve]
