New arrivals to the monitoring web portal party…

Fujitsu Laboratories of America and the interestingly named Jardogs, a subsidiary of Cleveland Clinic, announced at HIMSS a ‘joint development collaboration’ for remote patient monitoring and reporting. Fujitsu built a pocket-sized prototype platform for remote sensor data integrated with Jardogs’ web portal called FollowMyHealth Universal Health Record (UHR). This HIPAA-compliant data is transmitted from the UHR to a clinical EHR, and allows healthcare providers to monitor patient compliance and care plan status outside a medical setting. This system is currently in trial. Another sign that companies in what is dubbed Information and Communications Technology (ICT) are exploring mHealthy horizons. Release.
