Home care needs a makeover (US)

Fast Company Design speedily picks up on connected health in the design area…and correctly. Dave Cronin, Director of Interaction Design at SmartDesign in San Francisco, tells us that home health RPM has an image problem similar to that of 1990s era PCs but worse: boring beige boxes and devices which are clonky and hard to use, with all the friendliness of a pager (his terminology). Careful design and smarter terminology would a long way in popularizing–or activating–RPM in the writer’s view.
