Northern Ireland’s Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) has confirmed to Telecare Aware that “as a routine part of the management of the NI Senior Civil Service, Mr Andrew Hamilton will transfer to the post of Deputy Secretary, Department of Employment and Learning in the course of the Summer.”
So… <sound of penny dropping!> Mr Hamilton, Interim Chief Executive of the EU-Centre for Connected Health is not a specialist in telehealth, but a career civil servant. I thought the style of writing in the letter he sent in response to my questions about the Remote Monitoring Service procurement seemed very civil servant-ish.
