Continua honours George MacGinnis of NHS Connecting for Health

I always wondered why NHS Connecting for Health was forking out $35,000+ a year of taxpayer’s money (£18,000) to be a Promoting Member of the Continua Alliance. Obviously terrific value for someone… nah, I’m just jealous that the Alliance can command such large subscriptions at the drop of a hat… The Scottish Centre for Telehealth is also paying out $5,000 per year (£2,600) as a Contributing Member, by the way. Continua members. Continua subscriptions (bottom of page).

Anyway, congratulations, George, it all helps keep telehealth and telecare on the Government’s radar, even if the Department of Health thinks it has ‘ticked the box’ on telecare now the Preventative Technology Grant years are drawing to an end and the Whole System Demonstrator Sites are about to swing into action. NHS Connecting for Health story.
