Burnside Telecom: Monitor care equipment from your mobile phone (UK)

Burnside Telecom has combined cloud based technology with mobile phones and launched a new app, Monicare, aimed at care homes and local authorities. Burnside’s main proposition is that cellular/GSM/private networks are a viable alternative to traditional landlines and the introduction of its Monicare app takes that further by providing wardens and care home managers with tools to monitor equipment. The product will be launched at the TSA’s International Telecare and Telehealth Conference 2011 and will be trialled with major customers before its commercial release in 2012.
