Bulgarian MEP: "step up eHealth efforts"

Bulgarian MEP Antonyia Parvanova has called for the European Union to step up its eHealth efforts. “It is absolutely necessary to promote the development of this tool, which does not yet have a legal basis in Europe. […] I regret that the new employment and growth strategy, ‘Europe 2020’, does not set itself any targets in terms of health, let alone eHealth,” she lamented at a breakfast meeting organised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, before announcing her intention to put her question directly to the President of the Commission, José Manuel Barroso.
